SCHOLARSHIP IN HONOR OF NIKKI ABBOTT

BEING THE BUFFALO

Mission

Our mission is to honor the short, yet impactful life of Nikki Abbott. This scholarship is meant to celebrate her life, her legacy and instill unto others to “Live like Nikki” by supporting an individual pursuing a career as a Dental Hygienist.

Nikki started as a dental assistant with us at Grazina Orthodontics, now Facing The Future Orthodontics, and discovered her passion and commitment to dentistry and helping others. She wanted to further her education in this area and chose to pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene. Nikki was accepted into a Dental Hygiene program shortly before receiving a diagnosis of breast cancer, more specifically, Metastatic Triple-Negative Breast Cancer.

Nikki fought this disease for 2 years with courage and fearlessness. “Being the Buffalo” or facing things head-on with courage and commitment, is one of the core values in our practice. Nikki exemplified this throughout her fight and inspired others along the way. Many would describe her as fearless, strong, hardworking, selfless, and loyal. We want to make sure to continue the lasting impact Nikki had on the lives of countless people for future generations to come.
