Get in the Know About
Clear Aligners
Clear aligners use a series of clear, plastic trays designed to fit snugly over your teeth for a smile journey that’s comfortable, versatile, and stylish.
Dr. Vic or Dr. Hailey will design each set of aligners according to your customized treatment plan. As you go through each tray, the aligners will apply gentle pressure to your teeth, gradually nudging them into your perfect smile.
Clear aligners solve various dental dilemmas, including overbites, underbites, crowding, and spacing. At Facing the Future Orthodontics, we offer Angel, Spark, and uLab aligners to create a treatment made around you instead of the other way around.
What Makes Clear
Aligners Great?
Clear aligners take orthodontic treatment to the next level. They’re able to handle a variety of cases, so you’ll have a clear, comfortable upgrade from traditional braces.
Let’s break down what separates them from the competition.
Under the Radar
Your clear aligners are just that — clear! They’re made of transparent materials, and they go over your teeth to remain undetectable throughout your treatment.
Unlike the usual glare with metal braces, your plastic aligners won’t shine noticeably — instead, your aligners will keep your smile out of the spotlight until it’s ready for its debut.
Freedoms Like Never Before
In the past, orthodontic treatment meant having to follow strict rules about what you eat, drink, and clean.
Clear aligners break the rules and let you enjoy your favorite snacks and brush your teeth with ease.
How? Because they’re removable! You can pop out your aligners to sip your morning coffee, have a piece of your favorite candy, and floss in every nook and cranny of your smile.
Just make sure you wear them for at least 22 hours a day to get the best results.
You’re the Blueprint
Each set of clear aligners is custom-made to your exact dental structure, so you’ll have a comfortable and super-effective treatment.
By using advanced 3D modeling, we create a precise roadmap to your new smile. We can even glimpse what your future smile will look like with our modern technology!
You’ve Got Options
At Facing the Future Orthodontics, we provide different clear aligners to fit your needs.
These include:
- Spark
- Angel
- uLab
Spark Aligners
Spark Aligners use the latest in orthodontic technology with their material TruDEN™. TruDEN™ is free of BPA, latex, mercury, and phthalate, so they’re one of the most hypoallergenic products.
The material is also stain-resistant and incredibly comfortable due to its hand-trimmed and smoothed edges built to reduce irritation around your gums.
Angel Aligners
Angel Aligners use biocompatible plastic that’s clear and designed to comfortably move your teeth. They work similarly to Spark Aligners by using advanced digital scans to map out your smile and create a perfect fit over your teeth.
You’ll receive a series of comfortable, clear trays to wear throughout your treatment to gradually and gently shift your teeth.
uLab Aligners
uLab Aligners are our very own in-house aligners. This means we cut out the middleman (or woman!) and create your treatment in our office. These aligners are made of clear, smooth, BPA-free plastic, so you’ll have a comfortable and flexible treatment.
With these in-house aligners, we can
- Adjust your treatment on the fly
- Print as many trays as you need, when you need them
- Save you time by not having to wait for your trays to ship and arrive
Caring for Your Aligners
Because aligners are removable, cleaning and maintaining your orthodontic treatment has never been easier.
However, you still have a few rules to remember:
Aligner Care 101
Cleaning your aligners daily can be the difference between a great treatment and a not-so-great treatment.
Using a soft-bristled toothbrush and warm water, gently scrub your aligners of any debris or build-up.
Keep It Stored
When you’re not wearing your clear aligners, make sure to properly store them in their case — during dinner, while brushing, or any other time you’re not wearing them to reduce the risk of losing or damaging them.
Appointments Matter
Keep your regularly scheduled appointments to help us monitor your treatment and make any necessary adjustments. Dr. Vic and Dr. Hailey will review your smile’s status to ensure everything is on track.
Handle With Care
Your aligners are durable enough to handle the task of easing your teeth into a straighter, healthier smile — but that doesn’t mean you should handle them roughly.
Always use two hands when removing or putting in your aligners, starting at the back of your teeth and gently moving forward. Never use your teeth to press your aligners into place as this can damage them.
